Paul Krugman defends my favorite president.
On Obama’s Egypt speech, I agree with some that important speeches on values and so on shouldn’t be made from allied totalitarian states. But, I find it fitting. Lofty rhetoric has always been juxtaposed – although not so literarly – against morally disinterested foreign policy. Robert Fisk’s reaction is good.
