			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>As opposed to <a href="http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=103618992&amp;ft=1&amp;f=1001" target="_blank">ludicrous irrelevancies</a> about Arlen Specter&#8217;s political loyalty and how he&#8217;s &#8220;thumbing his nose&#8221; at the GOP, <a href="http://www.opensecrets.org/news/2009/04/senator-arlen-specter-leaves-t.html" target="_blank">this</a> issue at Open Secrets is actually <em>interesting</em> and potentially of consequence. It asks a much better question than soap opera question such as: how is Arlen Specter offending people who campaigned for him in the past?</p>
<p>For those who don&#8217;t know, Open Secrets is the website for the Center for Responsive Politics that tracks money being thrown at politicians, which politicans it&#8217;s being thrown at, and who is throwing it.</p>
